On January 12th. The setting got darker which was perfect for the next scenes. These were the party scenes. When Lucas filmed Eva and I walking into the party we had to repeat these scenes because me and Eva messed up our lines. The next scene Daniel comes in and offers drinks to us. This scene took a while because we kept laughing. After this scene was took we filmed the party scenes and other people were in it. We had to convince some friends to be apart of our film. In the next scene Lucas recorded Daniel and Eva going off somewhere. We used a tracking shot for this scene. The next few scenes were tracking shots of Me looking for Eva in the film. I use a bit of dialogue to extra asking where Eva is. After this scene was taken we switched settings to outside. Daniel recorded me walking outside in shook.  First week after coming back from Thanksgiving Break. We got started on work immediately! Something that neglected throughout the break was editing our screenplay. The extent of the discussion on our screenplay was so extensive, we overwhelmed ourselves when deciding on the final cut. We revised our screenplay and it is perfected.  Now, we begin the most instrumental stage for our short film, planning. After finishing the screenplay, we initiated a discussion on location, schedule, participants, health and safety, props, costumed, and back up plans. It was fairly simple deciding were we were going to begin filming, to ensure the conveniency of participants involved. In order to pursue a convenient filming schedule, we decided to pursue filming at Daniel's house. As Daniels is closer to our school. There will be many other participants.   This short film features sound, set design, and editing that are all relevant to our film. The diegetic sound is the first thing that comes to mind. This is a technique employed in horror films to communicate the film's emotions. The sound in this film is employed to convey the anxiety and terror he is experiencing. A non-diegetic sound is also used to depict the film's surrounding feelings. To make the viewers uncomfortable, the film uses baby sounds from afar. Then there are gunshots and people fleeing to add to the film's unsettling atmosphere. The mise-en-scene in the film is inspired by the clothing. The man is dressed in typical street clothing, and the girl is dressed similarly. All of the characters wear the costumes that they are portraying, thus it is a true representation of their personalities.   In this short film, the sounds, angles, movements and editing were all shown very well to help establish the genre. These conventions are used for the horror genre. In this horror film, a VoiceOver was played throughout the whole film. This created a tone of curiosity for the audience. The guy who is using a VoiceOver is the boyfriend of this girl they are filming. This whole film is showing a point of view shot of what he sees of her. She has turrets from the dialogue in the film it states. In the film, cutaway shots were happening showing this. It showed her constantly making the same head movements and hand movements over and over again. Then a scene was showed of her making movements with her face but in relapse. It made her face go 10x faster and made her look even scarier. Close up of her face after taking the pill showed the audience her in a stare. The short film Welcome to Bushwick had many conventions that helped establish the horror genre. These conventions occur mainly in horror films. The establishing shot showed a two people talking in a dark room. This was a dark setting which created suspense for the audience. Then an eyeline match is shown as well as an over the shoulder shot. This shows the guy and girl talking uncomfortably which hints to the audience they don't know each other personally. The dialogue in the film was of the girl and guy talking. After a zoom was shown which zoomed into the drink the guy was pouring. While this was happening, a non diegetic sound with creeping music was playing. This scene was intriguing for audience because we didn't know what was happening. This was very suspenseful for the audience.
