production blog (CCR)

 My group and I are completely finished with our final task film. It is very exciting and reliving to be finished. I am very proud of my group and I and our film. We all worked really well together and got it done with extra time to spare. I honestly thought we would be scrambling to finish last minute since for our last video we finished it right before it was due. It is quite nice to not have to worry about filming and editing it anymore. It has also given us time for reflection. I try to look over our film everyday to see if I can find anything to fix or change. So far we haven't really had to change anything about it. We even had some friends and family watch our film for some input. Next we have to complete our CCR which is also apart of our final task. I got a little nervous since this video has to be 12-15 minutes which is quite a long time for you talking. But I decided to make a game plan for it so it is less stressful and to keep me on track. I need to make sure I clear some of my pictures and videos out of my phone so I can ensure that I'll have enough storage to film. Since the CCR video is set up like an interview I will need another person to interview me. My friend Ella who is also in this class agreed to interview me as long as I did the same for her. This is really convenient since we both need to get this done and we're already friends. Next I started to plan out my answers to my questions. The questions require descriptive and detailed answering. All of the questions together give you plenty of room to fill up the 12-15 minutes of speaking you need. I'm not completely sure when I will end up filming my video but I hope it will be sometime this weekend. I'm a little less than half way done with answering the questions so I will probably be done by Sunday if I keep working on it.

   First scene- During this scene we will be filming the guy and the soon to be ex arguing back and forth on the phone. This will be taken place in two different settings. The cuts will be going back and forth between the two of them on the phone. Second scene- The next scene will be filmed in a room and the main actress will be on her computer doing her school work. She will have headphones in. She's all upset so her bestfriend that is with her at the moment tries to cheer her up by bringing in ice cream but she pushes it away. Third scene- This scene will also be filmed in her room. She starts to look at herself and sees how she is always in t-shirts and never dressed nice. Fourth scene- This scene cuts to the ex and what she is doing in her life. This scene will show her all her and her friends dressed up nicely and sizing everyone thinking they are better everyone. Production blog; finishing filming

Last week was spring break so we decided it was a good time to finish filming our last scenes. It was easy since we had no school and our schedules were more open than usual. We had a few scenes to film at the resurant Paige works at. When it was dark we starting filming since we needed it to be night time for our scenes. We started off with the indoor scenes first, Ella was sitting at a booth. We picked a section that was the most empty to not disturb the customers. Ella was texting her date that she was waiting at the restuant for. We had to zoom in on her phone and have different angles of her texting her date. We made sure to re-shoot this scene a few times to have it right. Next we had to wait for no customers to be at the front so we could do the scene of the girls walking up to the hostess.
